How do you get over a grudge or betrayal? How do you get on with your life after you have been hurt? We interview Amber Chand, once a refugee from her home in Uganda, now the director of a non-profit organization that helps refugee women world-wide. Listeners contribute with their stories of turning despair to inspiration by simply taking action.
Quotes from the show:
- “It takes effort to hold a grudge.”
- “When we’re hurt, we’re often expected to respond in like fashion. When we don’t, it’s disarming.”
- “Never look down on a person unless you’re picking them up.”
- “It’s not the circumstances that we go through that determine how we live our lives. It’s the meaning we attach to the circumstance.”
