Guest host Michelle Spark talks about learning the value of community and her role as a citizen when a river threatened to wash away back yards all along her street.

We talk to Sybil Rosen Thomas and Bill Bouris about building a library from scratch in Whitesburg, GA, with the help of the Rural Library Project. Rosen Thomas is the author of the forth-coming book, Living in the Woods in a Tree, about her years with Texas music legend Blaze Foley.

We also speak to James Krueger, the Executive Director of the Pine Hill Community Center in Pine Hill, NY
