Butterfly Woman

Maraleen Manos-Jones is The Butterfly Lady. She started raising and releasing monarch butterflies in the 1970s, which inspired a trip to Mexico to search for their hibernation grounds. She has been studying and advocating for butterflies ever since, including her work with Forests for Monarchs, an organization that has planted over 5 million trees in the region where monarch butterflies spend the winter months.
